Diamonds in the Rough

Mechanical Finishing, Inc. has serviced the Ohio Valley's metal finishing, deburring and parts cleaning needs since 1992. We have rapidly become one of the largest finishing facilities in Ohio. Recently, we also completed a new 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Cincinnati.

President and owner, Jerry Stenger, was born and raised in Cincinnati and along with the Mechanical Finishing crew and staff, runs the business with the core Midwestern values of dependability, responsibility and friendly service.

In 1996, Mechanical Finishing was awarded the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Corporate Environmental Achievement Award for outstanding environmental protection and improvement efforts. The Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Sciences (IAMS) presented Mechanical Finishing with the "Return On Initiative" award in 1997, in recognition of our commitment to enhanced competitiveness. Also in 1997, Mechanical Finishing won the Mass Finishing Job Shops Association (MFJSA) Certification Quality One award for excellence in meeting or exceeding all MFJSA standards. In 2002, the company received ISO 9001:2000 registration, the first of its kind in the Greater Cincinnati area to attain this prestigious certification.

Through the successful implementation of this software, MFI has been able to bring our level of excellence to the top of our industry standards. As the only parts finisher in the Greater Cincinnati area with ISO9001-2000 registration, and a 1997 winner of the Mass Finishing Job Shops Association (MFJSA) Certification Quality One award for excellence, we know we're on the right track. Tumbling Quality-1
Mechanical Finishing has one of the largest collections of Horizontal Tumbling Barrels in the industry. We also have a wide variety of processing media to choose from to run your work, including natural quartz stone, steel, ceramics, and plastics. We can even run part-on-part processing to achieve your desired results. Vibratory and Tub Finishing Mechanical Finishing, Inc., has a versatile vibratory and tub finishing department, with machines ranging in size from two cubic feet to 70 cubic feet. We can process parts of almost any size, up to eight feet in length. Parts Cleaning Mechanical Finishing, Inc. offers the industry's best options for parts cleaning. We utilize an assortment of parts cleaning processes, from our three-stage beltwashers with dry-off, to many different types and sizes of agitation, ultrasonic, vibratory and barrel cleaning systems. We can process any size product and offer many different types of drying systems. Whatever your parts washing needs, MFI will handle them.

Blast Finishing Quality-2
Mechanical Finishing, Inc. also offers various forms of blast finishing, including Glass Bead, Steel Grit, Aluminum Oxide, Plastic Media, and Spinner Hanger Steel Shot Peening. These are augmented with an assortment of rust-inhibiting processes, including Cob Drying, Synthetic Rust-Inhibiting, and a three-stage Parts Cleaning process.
